The adult moth has brown forewings, each with black and white patches. The hindwings are off-white shading to pale brown at the wingtips. The wingspan is about 1.5 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania,
  • South Australia, and
  • Western Australia.
