The adult moths of this species have an orange hairy head and thorax, and very dark brown wings. The forewings each have a fuzzy white line across the middle and another along the margin, and a white patch by the wingtip. The hindwings also each have a fuzzy white line along the margin The wingspan is about 4 cms.
