The adult moth has brown forewings with variable markings, but each often with a small dark crescent mark near the middle, and three nearly equal areas separated by wiggly lines. The hindwings are plain pale brown. The wingspan is about 3 cms.

This species occurs in Australia in

  • Western Australia,
  • Northern Territory,
  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales, and
  • Victoria.

    The species in this genus are very similar, and are still the subject of review.
