The adult moth has reddish brown forewings, and brown hindwings, all with variable broad dark margins each containing a row of darker spots. The moth has prominent labial palps. The wingspan is about 3 cms.

The species has been found in

  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
