This Caterpillar feeds on various plants from the family CAPPARACEAE including :

  • Sticky Spider-flower ( Cleome viscosa ),
  • Indian Caper ( Capparis rheedei ), and
  • Temple Plant ( Crateva religiosa ).

    The adult butterflies have white wngs with a black wingtips, and an extra black spot by the tip of each forewing. Underneath: the wing patterns are similar, except the underside of each hindwing is pale yellow. The wingspan is about 3 cms.

    Various subspecies occur throughout south-east Asia, for example in:

  • Borneo,
  • India,
  • Java,
  • Philippines
  • Singapore,
  • Sri Lanka, and
  • Thailand.

    In Australia, the species has only been found in a small area of the north of

  • Western Australia.
